This session is designed to equip participants with practical tools and insights for ethical peer support, trauma-informed communication; foster reflection on real-world challenges and opportunities in recovery leadership, community outreach; and strengthen confidence in applying strategies that honor dignity, collaboration, and lived experience.

What You Will Learn:
•Define core ethical principles relevant to peer support, including dignity, autonomy, mutuality, and integrity.
•Distinguish peer support ethics from clinical or supervisory ethics, emphasizing lived experience and relational boundaries.
•Identify and navigate dual relationships and boundary challenges using real-world scenarios and decision-making frameworks.
•Apply confidentiality standards and understand legal responsibilities such as HIPAA and mandated reporting.
•Demonstrate ethical decision-making through structured frameworks and peer consultation strategies.
•Evaluate appropriate self-disclosure practices and their impact on peer relationships and recovery sustainability.
•Develop a personal ethics statement that reflects individual values and professional standards.
Upon completion of the training, participants will receive access to digital course resources/materials.
