This Peer Leadership and Supervision Training is a dedicated program designed to provide individuals with essential skills and knowledge to effectively support peers. This training was developed in line with national standards and assumes that participants have a working knowledge of peer work. It was designed by peer supervisors with personal lived experience for current or aspiring peer supervisors with personal lived experience. However, individuals who supervise peers but do not identify as having personal lived experience should be able to gain new knowledge and skills as well.
One recent participant shared, “There is very valuable information in this training and should be given to peer supervisors within 4 weeks of taking the role. I also feel that those that are in supervisor roles already and have not taken this training should.”
